What is the weather?
What is the weather?
Topics: English

In this unit pupils learn how to describe, talk about and write about the weather. A pupil who knows how to speak about different topics in the target language, in English, feels more confident speaking to others in English. In this unit, first the pupils hear the teacher and other children their age speaking about the weather, using questions and weather vocabulary. The pupils are then exposed to describing the weather around the world. The pupils learn how to write about what they like and can do in different weather situations. The next stage the pupils develop the skill of speaking about the weather in English, using words and chunks in a song / story context. Finally, the pupils apply their new knowledge to creating and presenting a weather forecast to the class.
